<\/p>

We had the pleasure of welcoming 85 students and teachers from the first year of architecture at Ghent University to the Atelier of Carli Vanhout & Paul Schellekens.<\/p>

During their excursion in Turnhout, the students were able to delve into the story of the Turnhout School. In addition to their visit to the atelier, they also made stops at several iconic locations such as Paul Neefs’ house, Paul Schellekens’ house and the Warande cultural center.
The bus also briefly stopped at the residence of Jozef Schellekens<\/strong> to further explore the history of Turnhout’s architecture. <\/p>

As an assignment, the students were put into small groups and tasked with giving explanations about the houses they had visited, which led to fascinating insights and new perspectives on Turnhout’s characteristic architecture.<\/p>

We find it particularly valuable to see how the new generation honours and shows respect for the rich architectural history that has shaped their field.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
