Peter Schellekens (° 1949) obtained his degree in Civil Engineering Electronics at KU Leuven (1972) after which he studied business management at Vlerick Business School and at Strathclyde University in Glasgow, UK. During his career, he held various leadership positions in the business world both in Belgium and in the USA. He was a professor at the University of Antwerp in the Faculty of Applied Economics. In addition to his professional activities, he also developed a strong interest in art. He studied art history and obtained a diploma in drawing/painting at the Academy of Fine Arts – Hageland.
