King David’s House – Meerhout

Both the Drossaard House and King David’s House were completely restored according to the design of S. Leurs in 1934-1935, King David’s House again by Jozef Schellekens in 1960 – 1961, and the entire complex was more recently restored in 1998 – 1999 according to the design of Atelier Vanhout & Ass. During this last campaign, additional interior elements were discovered such as a mural on the fireplace in the mayor’s office. An extension was also provided at the rear for the municipal services.
