Veerle-Laakdal Town Hall
Market 19, 2431 Veerle – Laakdal
Design: January 13, 1942
In the early 1940s, the municipality of Veerle decided to convert the old ‘gendarmerie’ or police station into a town hall. Schellekens delivered the plan on January 13, 1942. The basic structure was maintained, but the number of door and wall openings was reduced. The elongated, arched windows and doors were replaced by rectangular wall openings, embellished with small shutters. A central door was added. The rear façade and the separate rear building underwent minor changes.
